Ambasada Slovačke Republike u Sarajevu objavljuje poziv za dostavljanje prijedloga malih razvojnih projekata.
maksimalni iznos granta: 10.000 EUR (u prethodnim pozivima najčešće su odobravani iznosi do 5.000 EUR)
trajanje projekta: 6–12 mjeseci
prioritetne oblasti: zaštita okoliša, obrazovanje, zdravstvo, poduzetništvo, javna uprava i dr.
ko može aplicirati: nevladine organizacije, općine, gradovi, javne institucije

Call for Proposals – Small Grants in Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Sarajevo announces a Call for Proposals for Small Grants in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Small grants are one of the instruments of the Slovak development cooperation. They are provided by the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (SAIDC) through the Slovak Embassy in Sarajevo. Small grants support small-scale development projects and allow for a flexible and effective response to local development needs.

Amount of Financial Contribution
The maximum amount of the non-repayable financial contribution is 10,000 eur per project.
The number of selected projects is limited by the budget allocated for this call for proposals, which is 20,000 eur.
Please note: In previous calls, the average amount of granted support was up to 5,000 eur. A similar approach will be applied in this round. Only projects with a reasonable and cost-effective budget will be considered.
Project Duration
Each project must last between 6 and 12 months, beginning immediately after the entry into force of the small grant agreement.
Sector Priorities
Projects must relate to sectors defined by the Medium-term Strategy for Development Cooperation of the Slovak Republic for 2025–2030, including:
- Infrastructure and sustainable use of natural resources – environmental protection, water and waste management, green economy, renewable energy, disaster risk reduction, sustainable urban development
- Food security and agriculture – agri-food chain development, job creation, sustainable ecosystem use, modern techniques and technologies
- Support for a market-oriented environment – support to MSMEs, innovation, digitalisation, corporate responsibility
- Good health – healthcare for mothers and children, nutrition, mental health, health worker training, awareness-raising
- Quality education – vocational and general education, teacher training, infrastructure improvement
- Good governance and civil society development – rule of law, participation, decentralisation, conflict prevention, crisis management, digitalisation
Cross-cutting Themes
- Environment and climate change – biodiversity protection, Paris Agreement implementation, climate resilience, ecosystem services
- Gender equality – elimination of discrimination and violence, women’s inclusion in public life and the economy, access to education and healthcare
Project proposals not aligned with the focus of this call will not be accepted.
Eligible Applicants
The call is open to registered:
- non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entities
- non-governmental organizations
- local and regional self-government units
The following applicants are not eligible:
- legal entities subject to international sanctions under Act No. 289/2016 Coll. of the Slovak Republic
- legal entities against which the Slovak Republic has a financial claim
Deadline for Submission
The deadline for submission of project proposals is 17 July 2025. Proposals must be submitted both:
- Electronically to: emb.sarajevo@mzv.sk
- In hard copy to: Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Sarajevo, Trnovska 6, 71 000 Sarajevo
Hard-copy applications must be completed, signed and stamped and must include all relevant documentation (registration documents and CVs of key implementation personnel in English). The deadline for submission is 17 July 2025 at 15:00. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
Applicants are encouraged to ensure a high quality of the application. The process is competitive and evaluation is based on the quality and completeness of submitted proposals.
